Langmeil Winery is believed to be the home of the Barossa and Australia’s oldest known surviving vineyard planted to Shiraz in 1843, whence the iconic ‘Freedom 1843 Shiraz’ hails. Langmeil has been awarded a ‘Five Star’ rating in the James Halliday Australian Wine Competition five consecutive years in a row, placing it amongst the very top echelon of Australian wineries.
